About Rotary Club of Jawalakhel

  Our History

In a journey of two decades, the club has been complying with norms, values, mission and vision set by Rotary International keeping ‘service above self’ in the heart of our club’s steps. Chartered on June 25, 2003, the club has been able to observe full swing of performance in every focused area as an example of collective synergy of esteemed Rotarians setting some remarkable uniqueness.

The club is distinctly counted for it's balanced metrics in terms of activities, human asset, team-play, fund contribution and leadership beyond club. The club has been covered in 'Rota-Quiz' with answers for the club with first woman charter president, first woman Rotarian of the country, first woman district governor, first woman only RCC, first visually impaired club president and the club to introduce idea of child PHFs.

The club is nurtured by the leadership of then finance minister, ex army chief, doctors, social scientists, media professionals, bankers, government officials and business persons. In terms of giving, we have high per capita and proudly speaking an AKS member too. Regarding service projects, the club has served 24 districts of all 7 provinces in all focused areas worth 8 hundred thousand dollars keeping 90,000 people in benefit. In the course of four global grants, 2 matching grants and three club to club grants, the club is able to have collaboration with 10 international clubs from 6 countries.
